In one of our conversation classes last month we ended up talking about American towns with French names, and honestly I couldn’t stop thinking about it after. There are over 20 towns called Paris in the US. There’s a Versailles in Kentucky, a Louisville, even a Boise.
I ended up recording a full podcast episode in easy French about it, with cowboy-hat Eiffel Towers, a town literally named “cul-de-sac,” and the actual history behind it.
