That might be interesting- to watch LdF film- knowing some French finally. Watching them as a kid/adolescent many years ago was a kind of torture ;) In Poland there is a professional actor reading all the lines, with a steady voice, no emotions. I might say I grew out of them before I could really understand them.

It does sound like torture! Luckily, there are now plenty of options to watch movies in the original language.
